FAQ: Plans, organizations & billing

On My Band Mate each user has their own plan (Free, Pro, or MAX). The sections below explain how that works together with organizations (bands, crews, promoters).

Your personal plan

Your plan controls which app features you can use—what appears in the menu and which paid modules you can open.

Personal limits such as file storage and AI usage apply to your account. If you are on Free and a feature needs a higher plan, another member upgrading does not unlock that feature for you—you need the right plan on your own account.

Organization owner and team size

Each organization has an owner. The owner's subscription determines how many members that organization can have (inviting people and accepting invites).

Other members' plans do not increase that limit. If the owner is on Free, the team stays within Free limits even if another member has MAX.

What if your plan is higher than the owner's?

You can create more organizations where you are the owner—the number of organizations you own follows your plan.

That does not change member limits for an organization where you are not the owner.

Payments, card and changing your plan

New subscriptions and upgrades use Stripe Checkout (secure payment page) when you pick a plan in Settings → Subscription on the web or in the mobile app (payment may open in the browser or an in-app web view).

To change the card used for renewals, download invoices, or adjust some subscription options, tap “Manage billing in Stripe” in Settings → Subscription. That opens Stripe’s Customer Portal on Stripe’s site. You need an existing payment relationship (subscription or storage add-on) so a Stripe customer exists.

You can switch to a lower paid plan or to Free from Settings → Subscription (e.g. “Switch to Free”). Timing and proration follow our Payment & subscription terms and Stripe’s rules for your subscription.

Common questions

Is each member billed separately?

Subscription is tied to each user account. We do not send a separate invoice per member for the organization itself; how many members fit in a team follows the owner's plan as described above.

Who should be the owner if one person pays for the band?

Usually the account that matches the size limit you need—often whoever manages billing—so invites and member count match your plan.

Where are payment and renewal rules?
